If you want Naruto card games explained in plain terms: there isn’t just one. Right now, at least four different products are being called a “Naruto card game” online, and only one of them is the new 2027 release from Bandai. This page sorts out which is which, what each one actually is, and which one you’ve probably already seen or heard about.
BANDAI’S Naruto CARD GAMES
This is the main subject of this site: the officially announced BANDAI CARD GAMES title, revealed June 18, 2026, with a Gen Con debut planned for July 30 through August 2, 2026, and a worldwide release set for 2027. No cards or full mechanics are public yet. For the complete rundown of confirmed details, dates, and what’s still unknown, see Naruto Card Game: Everything We Know So Far, or check the Naruto Card Game FAQ for quick answers to common questions.
Naruto Mythos TCG
Naruto Mythos TCG is a separate, already active product published by Zvezdar (based in Serbia) and sold across France and the rest of Europe by Cicaboom Srl (Italy). It has been on shelves since March 13, 2026, well before Bandai’s game was even announced. Its packaging carries a copyright line naming Kishimoto, Shueisha, and TV Tokyo alongside Zvezdar, which points toward an official license, but that hasn’t been confirmed by Kishimoto, Shueisha, or TV Tokyo directly. Treat the license as likely rather than certain.
How It Plays
Based on the official card gallery and retailer descriptions, with medium to high confidence on the broad strokes rather than every detail, each player leads a ninja village. Rounds are built around a Mission card, decks run on a Chakra resource, and Jutsu cards carry effects, some with an optional Upgrade. There’s also an Ambush mechanic for springing surprise plays on an opponent.
Pricing
European sellers list individual boosters around €7, with boxes and displays running roughly €125 to €200. One UK retailer also lists an upcoming $35 starter pack, though its release date is still listed as TBC.
US and Canada Availability
Per Mythos’s own FAQ, the initial US and Canada wave is limited to stores approved for its Organized Play program, and those stores are receiving booster displays only so far, not starter packs.
Naruto Kayou
Naruto Kayou is a long running, Pierrot-licensed collectible card line, not a competitive trading card game. There’s no formal ruleset or deck-building system behind it, confirmed directly from the product itself, so retailer marketing language describing it as “deck-building ready” can be misleading. It’s closer to a sticker or sports card collecting product than something you play head to head.
Kayou cards are now sold at mainstream US retailers, including Amazon, GameStop, Best Buy, and Walmart’s online listings, not just hobby shops or imported stock.
Pricing
Pricing varies by retailer and by which set or tier you’re buying. As one example, a US hobby retailer currently lists:
Earth Scroll Booster Box: $39.80 Jin Chapter Booster Box: $47.88 Heaven Scroll Booster Box: $95.76
The Original Naruto Collectible Card Game (2006 to 2013)
Before either of the above, Bandai published an original Naruto CCG that ran from 2006 to 2013, confirmed defunct. The game spanned 28 sets, ending with Set 28, “Ultimate Ninja Storm 3,” in May 2013. Its April 2006 US launch reportedly sold out nationally beyond Bandai’s own projected demand at the time.
ICv2 frames the 2026 Bandai game as a direct successor to this earlier CCG, placing it in the same lineage as Bandai’s recent Gundam and Digimon TCG English language reboots. No reliable total player base figures for the original game were found, so that number isn’t estimated here.

Which One Are You Probably Looking For
If you heard about Bandai’s 2027 announcement directly, a teaser, a press release, a Gen Con mention, you’re in the right place. Head to Naruto Card Game: Everything We Know So Far for the full picture.
If you’ve already seen Naruto cards on shelves somewhere, in Europe, at a US hobby store, or in a mainstream retailer’s TCG aisle, that’s almost certainly Mythos or Kayou, not Bandai’s game, since Bandai’s title isn’t sold anywhere yet. Hopefully having naruto card games explained side by side above makes it obvious which one you actually ran into.
